After a few years of playing music, John Gomez and Stephen Gomez, along with long time friend John Montgomery, and newfound vocalist Brian Dales, set out in the spring of 2007 to form The Summer Set. Josh Montgomery and Brian Dales were in a band called Last Call for Camden with JF Trotter (Kennedy Brock, now in The Maine) and another member named Weston before The Summer Set came to be. LCFC has released one CD entitled Keep Your Feet On the Ground before breaking up. The Summer Set self-released their first EP, "Love The Love You Have," in November 2007. The band independently sold 13 copies in a few months .he Summer Set signed a record deal with The Militia Group in April 2008.
